Disney's Ultimate Band

Here are some Screen Grabs of the Ultimate Band Venues that I worked on for Disney's Ultimate Band Nintendo Wii game. This game was a blast to work on, I loved creating these over the top stylized band venues. As an artist I had a lot of freedom to do some very cool stuff.

The Vortex Mansion Venue was the first level that I worked on. I built the models, created the textures and did the lighting.

The Gold Saber Cove Venue was the Second level that I worked on. I built the models, created the textures and did the lighting.

The Garage Venue was a collective effort of several artists. I built most of the junk item models. My main involvemnet was a final texture and lighting pass on the whole venue.

The Basement Venue was a collective effort of several artists. I modeled some of the environmental stuff like the Skull Curtian and Ceiling Fan. My main involvemnet was a final texture and lighting pass on the whole venue.

The Jamahalla Venue was a collective effort of several artists. We had about 2 weeks to create this level from scratch at the end of the project. My main involvement was the lighting and some modeling and texture work.

The Rock Room. I built and textured the model for the designers to use as part of the games menu.

Narnia Prince Caspian

Here are a few Screens that I worked on for Disney's Prince Caspian Nintendo DS game. I have never worked on a DS game before so it was a completley different experience from what I am used to doing. The challenge was to make something look good at such a small screen resolution 256 x 192 pixels. So here are some images of what I did for the game. I hope you enjoy!!

Ultimate Band Early Character Studies

Here are a couple Real-Time model studies for the Ultimate Band Wii game, at first they were going for a more stylized mature look and then based off of some focus groups and the direction that the Band Venues were going the decision was made to go for a more stylized kid look... the Brit Rocker and the Punk Girl were used as base models to help drive the look of the super cool Characters that appear in the Ultimate Band game. Enjoy!!!

I Painted this image because... 1- I need to work on faces and skin tones... 2- because I have never painted a Fairy before and since I work for Disney I figured that I better at least give it a try, so here is my first Fairy Painted in "Painter"

Vehicle Sketches

I have always loved vehicle design so as an Industrial Design Student I had an opportunity to create a few... here is one that I really liked a lot. this is a Photoshop render

Photoshop Paintings

I have not painted for a long time so I thought that I would do a few and try to get back into it... these were painted in Photoshop. I used some inspiration from other artists to help me take the plunge back into digital painting...

Pirate For Hire.....

Goth Chick.....
I used facial reference from Jason Chans painting of the black widow, I loved how captivating her expression is in Jason's painting, so I tried humbly to try and recreate it in my painting... Thanks Jason

Warhawk PS3

The first next Generation PS3 game that I worked on was "Warhawk". Developing on a next generation platform like the PS3 had a lot of challenges. Warhawk was one of the very first games to be developed on the new console. The process was very different from what I have done in the past. Instead of having an entire level that I am in charge of we have had to create sort of an assembly line approach. The images that I am showing have had various things done to them by team members. My main involvent was to help generate shaders and apply them. I was also in charge of the lighting of Warhawk. We used light maps to generate our lighting so it was an enourmous task. I also had modeling tasks of various builidings and terrain so I was a very busy guy. I think that Warhawk turned out to be a very fun and exciting game to work on. I hope that everyone enjoys these images of Warhawk.

Twisted Metal Black "Harbor City"

I had a chance to work on one of the coolest car combat franchises of all time "Twisted Metal" I have a couple of screen grabs of my work while I was employed at Incognito. I had a blast working on this title for the PS2. I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them for the game. My involvement in the images that I am posting consist of creating the models, painting and applying the texture maps and lighting the scenes. All though this game was put on hold it was and still is one of my most amazing experiences as an artist creating video games.

Industrial Design Student Work

I have a Bachelors Degree in Industrial design. I had an opportunity to create some fun products as a design student so I am going to share some of the projects that I thought were the funnest to work on. I hope you like them they were definitley very fun to develop.

These are final model prototypes that I generated using various techniques and materials. The Snowboard Binding was a study of form follows function. I wanted to create a design that provided both support and convenience to the Snowboarder. The Next generation Video Game Console was an exercise in generating high concept for future products it was a lot of fun.
